MOMMA WHY DID GOD TAKE MY DADDY?

I was at a truck stop in Missouri on I.H.55 just south of I.H.57, when I ran into an old trucker friend of mind, Old Corkey. It sure was good to see the old friend of mine. Well we went in and sat down and begin to talk about old times. How we both missed old fat boy and the good times we had with him. How we could still hear him talk as if he was right there with us today. How we all sure missed the tomatoes that his dad use to raise. Corkey ask if I was still trying to stop the air brake problem that had taken the lives of so many bus and truck drivers. I said I guess I am just too stubborn to stop. I’ve been doing it now going on nine years. Sure hope I have saved the life of a trucker or two. I told my friend Corkey, just the other day I got a call from a lady thanking me for all the hard work I have done to try to bring awareness of the Treadle Valve problems that have caused so many accidents. I could tell what she said to me came straight from the heart. It went something like this!

Dear Allan, I’d like to thank you for what you’re doing to stop another child from having to ask the question my little boy has ask so many times. It’s hard to answer when you don’t know how to ease the child’s heart from hurting. I try to comfort him the best I can but his mind still has no answers when his heart is so empty and his soul feels so lost of the love one he needs so much. A mother searches for the right words to say when her child is hurting inside. How can I answer his question when I wonder what the answer to the question is myself sometime. I often wonder, “Why did God take Kevin away?” And every night I pray no other child has to ask such a painful question, “Why did God take my Daddy!”

You see, the Father of this little boy was riding in a fire truck one day when the Treadle Valve failed. The fire truck was going down a hill and coming to a T intersection. The treadle valve failed and the brakes quit working! The fire truck then went through the brick gate and into a school filled with children. The father passed away and three other firefighters were hurt that day. The rest is history, the story is old news, and fades away and is forgotten by everyone except the little boy who has to grow up with out a father. He is left to try to deal with the pain of having no one to play baseball with or go to the football games with or to help him through life as he grows up!

“Yeah Corkey, if I can just save one child so they can grow up with their parents to see them through life it will be all worth it.” My prayers won’t be answered until the Government agrees to start an investigation on the problem. When the Treadle Valve problem that is causing so many accidents is stopped from causing so many drivers to have accidents on the roads and highways. To stop from all people from being in danger on the roads and highways due to the treadle problem including little children. Only then will my prayers be answered. “Corkey do you have any ideal how it is to hit a car when you’re grossing 80,000 lbs. and hit a vehicle with a person in it? Well my friend let me tell you this much, you do not want to know that feeling. Trust me!”

I watched as Corkey sat in thought for a minute. “What can I do to HELP?” said Corkey. Well to get started we need all the people we can get to help get an investigation started due to the treadle valve problem. If everyone would get together and call their local senators office and let them know that this needs to be done maybe someone would listen. Maybe just maybe we could save the lives of so many people who are traveling on our roads and highways. One thing is for sure it is going to take everyone!

PLEASE EVERYONE! PICK UP YOUR PHONES! DIAL THOSE NUMBERS! STAND BY ME AND HELP ME STOP ACCIDENTS FROM HAPPENING ON OUR ROADS AND HIGHWAYS. HELP SAVE THE LIFE OF SOMEONE THAT YOU LOVE! IT’S TIME TO STOP THE TREADLE VALVE PROBLEM! IT’S TIME FOR AN INVESTIGATION!!
